Visible! 2013 is a unique photographic exhibition and art installation celebrating a modern take on the gentleman’s hats of the 1920’s – the heritage look.
The exhibition features hats from designer Bidyut Das’ Dasmarca range of fine and stylish trilbies, baker boy caps and pork pie.
A visually stimulating installation of a hat display suspended from the ceiling depicting the wave of freedom and progress that the Roaring Twenties brought to Britain.
The exhibition is a collaborative effort bringing together the geniuses of hat designer Dasmarca and the photographers; Giacomo Favilla and Stylist Francesca Lombardi, Liat Chen and Adi Krauss.
The Dasmarca brand of hats is the creation of British designer Bidyut Das of Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design and the Royal College of Art. After graduating in 2001, The Guardian described Das as ‘One of the most promising designers of the graduates of his class’ and The Independent said his work ‘stood out’.
Das has already established himself as reputable designer. Dasmarca means ‘the mark of Das’ and being true to the rich and colourful handicraft heritage of Tripura, North East India where Das was born.
